If you, like me, can’t wear most shoes out there due to dodgy feet, you need to check out the Pesso brand. I’ve been a massive fan of this brand for years. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my new metallic sneakers from them..
I recently got to choose two pairs of shoes from the new summer range, in exchange for featuring them on my blog. (I’ll feature the 2nd pair I chose in another post).
Before I go any further please know that I will never feature anything on my blog that I wouldn’t personally and independently endorse myself. I’ve been buying Pesso shoes for years off my own bat, and we only connected from a social media point of view this year. And in a previous post I featured some maternity wear from Yummy Maternity that I was gifted. Just a few days ago I went to the shop and bought myself another feeding bra, with my own money. I’m sharing this to demonstrate how much I believe in and enjoy the brands I feature here.
So anyway here are the sneakers…
What I really like about the Pesso brand is the focus on quality and comfort, as well as the level of attention to detail. Can you believe that it takes 12 people to produce one pair of shoes?
“Pesso believes that what you invest in should be made with honesty and integrity, honouring the artisans and ancestral processes that result in truly well-made products”.
I like the fact that this brand works with a small factory that has a strong consciousness around it’s working environment; salaries paid; the minimum age of it’s workers and the hours worked per week. It’s totally aligned with the slow fashion movement of knowing where, who and how your clothes and shoes are made.

You can shop the range online here or go to one of the Step Ahead stores.. Thanks again to my mate Sarah for taking the pics of me, the two of us wondering around Sandton City car park trying to get some pics (and then getting chased away by the security guard,) was fun!
I think I had spotted the guard again in this pic – the angst!
