4 Trends you’ll want to wear this autumn-winter

Trends come and go, some hang around for years and others last a season. I don’t advocate being a slave to them; I’m more into helping you to find your own style, to wear what you feel good in.

However, life can get a bit dreary and exhausting at times, particularly if you’re a mom doing the daily groundhog stuff, so it can be good to use your wardrobe as a tool to shake things up. A fresh take on how you dress can give you that little energy boost you so desperately need! It’s good to push yourself out of your comfort zone and experiment with a new trend that you like. You never know how you might feel in those pants that you thought you could never wear.

For today’s post and over the next two to three weeks I’ll be sharing 4 winter trends that you can easily wear this autumn-winter.

As much as I like to focus on having a functional, capsule-type wardrobe, there’s something to be said for adding a few on-trend seasonal pieces, for all of the reasons discussed above.

You can also use trends to give you inspiration on how to wear what you already have.

So without further ado let’s look at one of the biggest trends this season, and one that will NEVER date, namely the sequin/sparkles trend.

For today’s post I thought I’d share a few pics of me wearing the sequin’s more demure sister – the sparkle.

Here’s some inspo for you. *Announcement* – you can shop these tops from GOOD at my upcoming pop up at the end of the month. Make sure you hit the subscribe button to keep informed as to how it’s all going down.

It’s hard to see the sparkle in the photos as it’s quite subtle in real life, so if the pared down sparkle is what you’re after then this top if definitely for you.

If an entire item like pants or a top is too much sparkle for you, but you’re still keen to experiment with this trend, try something like a scarf. It’s an inexpensive and easy way to add that sparkle to your look and can totally finish off a basic jeans and tee outfit.

So what are you? A sequin or a sparkle?
